OPTEC SpA is looking for a skilled Thermal Engineer

LOCATION:
Parabiago (MI)

DUTIES
The candidate will work independently and in team covering the following activities:

• Generation of the thermal model for optical subsystem for space and ground applications
• Design active and passive thermal control
• Verify the thermal requirements specified by the customers
• Issue the Thermal Analysis Report and Model Description
• Issue the thermal test prediction
• Issue the thermal test procedure
• Selection of the thermal hardware suitable to perform both thermal and thermal vacuum test
• Input the parameters, cycles etc. to operate the thermal and thermal vacuum chamber present in Optec.
• Conduct the thermal and thermal vacuum tests
• Post processing the test results
• Issue the thermal test report
• Correct and correlate the thermal model to match the test results
• Support the technical meeting with the customers
• Procurement of thermal hardware for the passive and active thermal control (heaters, MLI, termistors, termocouple, TEC, fan)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS:

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Working experience > 3 years
• High flexibility and team-working skills
• Good spoken and written English level
• Good knowledge of at least one of the following software ESATAN TMS, Sinda/Fluint-Thermal Desktop, Simcenter 3D thermal/flow, Simcenter 3D Space System Thermal
• Previous experience in aerospace projects
• Knowledge of the aerospace standards ECSS, MIL
