We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Research and Development team at the Parabiago (MI) site, with immediate availability.

LOCATION:
Parabiago (MI)

DUTIES
The candidate will work independently and in team covering the following activities:

• Develop and maintain Finite Element Model (FEM)
• Run models for static, thermoelastic, modal and dynamics structural analyses (sinusoidal, random and shock)
• Verify bolts and joints following ESA standard
• Provide input to the Optical team for Structural-Thermal- Optical-Performance (STOP) Analysis
• Issue structural analysis report
• Perform test predictions
• Provide notching plan
• Develop qualification and acceptance environmental test procedures (vibration, shock, sample destructive test)
• Support the test campaign (vibration, shock, sample destructive test)
• Issue the test reports
• Perform FEM correlation on the base of the test results
• Support to the system project engineer for the definition of the: Design Development and Verification Plan, Test Plan
• Support the discussion with the customer during the main reviews PDR/CDR/TRR/PTR/TRB
• Perform quick structural assessment by “hand calculation”

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Scientific degree
• Working experience: 2-5 years in Quality Assurance
• Data analysis
• Good spoken and written English level

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• Working experience > 3 years
• Good knowledge of Nastran/ NX Nastran as a processor
• Preferred pre and post processor is Simcenter
• Previous experience in aerospace projects
• Knowledge of the aerospace standards ECSS, MIL
• High flexibility and team-working skills
• Good spoken and written English level
